The Alabaster Journey
Alabaster Training Center’s transformative journey commenced with a modest yet determined pursuit of accreditation within the Food and Beverages Manufacturing Sector (FoodBev SETA). What began as a single step has since evolved into a dynamic progression marked by strategic foresight, operational resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in vocational training.
As South Africa’s skills development landscape transitioned from the SETA-based system to the occupationally directed model under the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO), Alabaster Training Center proactively responded to the shifting regulatory paradigm. By securing accreditation through an alternative SETA during this transitional period, we ensured the seamless delivery of high-quality training programmes, safeguarding learner progression and institutional credibility.
This evolution not only highlights our adaptive capacity in the face of systemic change but also reinforces our role as a forward-thinking training provider. Our alignment with the QCTO’s occupational qualifications framework reflects a broader commitment to equipping learners with practical, industry-relevant competencies that respond directly to labour market demands.
At the heart of our mission is the empowerment of disadvantaged communities through education and skills development. We are deeply committed to creating pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and self-sufficiency—especially for youth, women, and unemployed individuals from under-resourced backgrounds.
Alabaster Training Center does not view itself in competition with others; rather, we stand apart in how and what we deliver. Our programmes are delivered with purpose, passion, and precision—integrating industry standards, experiential learning, and holistic learner support to ensure meaningful impact. Our distinction lies in our results: transformed lives, empowered learners, and stronger communities.
As a catalyst for change in South Africa’s Private sector, we remain steadfast in our vision to build capacity, bridge opportunity gaps, and advance a more inclusive and skilled workforce for tomorrow.
